We are a team of volunteers passionate about helping young people discover the joy and adventure of paddling. We offer a variety of paddlesport sessions for Scout and Guide groups. Located near Southampton, our centre is dedicated to providing instruction, fun experiences, and exciting opportunities on the water.
We are a Scout Active Support unit offering kayaking and canoeing activities for Scout and Guide groups. Our focus is on enabling water confidence, teamwork, and personal development in a safe and supportive environment. With expert instructors and a variety of sessions throughout the year, we aim to give everyone the chance to explore the exciting world of paddling.
We offer several different types of paddling sessions to suit a variety of needs and skill levels:
Every Saturday our volunteers run afternoon paddle sessions at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh. These sessions are a great way for young people develop their paddling skills in a friendly club environment. We provide a range of craft including Canoes and Kayaks, which allows members to try out different boats and experience new challenges. Open to those in the Scout or Girlguiding movements aged 8 and over.
A fantastic introduction for your section into the world of paddlesports! These 2-hour sessions are perfect for Cubs, Scout, Explorers as well as Brownies, Guide and Ranger groups to try out paddling, learn basic paddling techniques, and have fun on the water. Sessions take place weekdays at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh, in the evening.
Occasionally, We also run river trips for members of the club to put their skills to practice away from the lake. These usually on local rivers and canals and provide the opportunity for paddlers to paddle in a different environment.
During the cooler months, We run pool sessions where members can practice their rescues, capsizes and rolling in the comfort of a warm pool.
